...this took me multiple hours, having to fight bullshit like first trying to get this effect done with javascript but I deemed it overkill plus I had no clue how to even, like, do the ease in and out animation without having to do a while(true) function???

then I also had to fight the problem of "hover over one element and have it affect another", which turned out to be a massive headache as the order of the elements is so important. This one probably took two hours to figure out alone...........

I think what broke me at the end was finally figuring out that the "transition" css proterty DOESNT belong in the css block for :hover..... lol oh well

I need some rest.........
